FIKL Exhibition for HRH Prince of Wales – Transylvania 2013

On exhibit were paintings by Gheorghe Fikl much appreciated by HRH The Prince of Wales. Pictured with him in the photo are Elizabeth Tsakiroglou and Col. Michael Carrington. Private Collections. Fikl’s paintings have drawn the attention of many reputed art lovers worldwide. Well known for his inclination for art, HRH The Prince of Wales personally picked one of the emblematic paintings for Fikl’s work, “White Cadillac”. This happened at a special event in Archita, one of Prince Charles’ favourite places in Romania.

The host of the exhibition was Maria Nobrega Foundation, one of the most influential organisations in the world, lead by Sra Elizabeth Nobrega de Araujo Tsakiroglou and Col. Michael R. Carrington, organised the event, and was involved in rehabilitating “Von Stenberg” Cultural Center in Archita. Fikl made a solo exhibition for Charles Prince of Wales, who was interested in the work of the Romanian painter. Archduke Andreas von Habsburg-Lothringen had the initiative of introducing Fikl’s art to HRH The Prince of Wales, after coming in contact with some of his paintings.
